Including All the Details in Baby Shower Invitations

What should I include with baby shower invitations?

You’re in charge of throwing a fantastic, memorable baby shower for your best friend and you’re in charge of all the details, from coming up with a theme to ordering baby shower invitations. You know printing companies have invitations and you’ve designed a lovely one using one of the available templates in just a few minutes. Before you finalize your order, you want to be sure you don’t forget something important, like who the shower is for.

It is a good idea to have a checklist of things to include when you are designing and mailing baby shower invitations. To be sure the party has a great turn out, you should:

  • Remember the five W’s. Any invitation should tell you who the guest of honor is, what the celebration is about, when it will take place and where it will be. The fifth W, why, shouldn’t be necessary, since the only time people would be wondering why you’re giving the shower is if the recipient just didn’t deserve one.
  • Include a sheet with detailed directions and an emergency contact information. A party isn’t much fun if half the guests are driving wildly through the streets as they try to locate the place where it is being held.
  • Add details on where to find the gift registry.
