Businesses on Twitter

Twitter has become a social phenomenon. Millions of people are already on this social media site and thousands seem to join every day. Whether you want to talk about what you had for lunch or how the stock market is doing… you can post it on Twitter. Individuals aren’t the only ones who find themselves posting Tweets. Many businesses find Twitter a very useful way to communicate with their target audience and offer their customers top deals or special promotions. In fact, Twitter was originally created by a podcasting company by the name of Odeo. They thought it would be a good way to try and break a creative slump.

Today comanies such as Vistaprint use Twitter to post top deals and special offers. Companies will tend to either post deals directly on Twitter or often send link to their top deals page where customers can choose which offer they like, sometimes it’s a combination of both. As Twitter continues to grow and evolve it will be interesting to see how Twitter and other social media sites affect businesses.
